Doug Samuel is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Purdue University.  He is generally inerested in studying the intersection of personality and psychopathology, with a particular emphasis on how dimensional models can be used clinically.  Before arriving at Purdue, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky under the mentorship of Thomas A. Widiger. He then moved to Connecticut where completed a clincal internship at Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital providing Dialectial Behavior Therapy and a post-doctoral fellowship within the Yale School of Medicine and the Veteran's Health Administration.  Dr. Samuel originally hails from Indiana, growing up in Portage and getting his B.A. at Indiana University - Bloomington. Outside of work, he treasures spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their daughters Alexis (11) and Olivia (7). In his spare time he enjoys traveling, drinking wine, and watching sports.

Lily is currently doing her predoctoral internship at The University of Washington. She came to Purdue after completing her Master's Degree at University of Maryland and B.S. at Abilene Christian University. Her program of research focuses on the links between psychopathology, particularly personality pathology, and relationships.

Ronnie is a 1st year graduate student in Clinical Psychology. He originally graduated with a BA from Purdue in 2019 and returns after spending time working in the mental health field. Ronnie is interested dimensional models of personality pathology and understanding how cultural context influences the way personality traits drive functional outcomes.
